Fire And Storm – June 5, 2017

Isaiah 43:2 says, “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.” God is with you through the fire and the storm. Just like in Psalm 23, He is with you on the mountaintop and in the valley of the shadow of death. You have nothing to fear. There is a lot of encouragement to be found in knowing God is with you wherever you go. It is only in the times you do not trust Him, that fear and worry step in and take over.  God will never leave us or forsake us. Later in Psalms, David says, “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” Later it says, “Even if I make my bed in hell, You are there.” He fights for you every day. Be encouraged knowing that He is not far when you call out to Him.
