A Washington based company created light-weight eyewear that works with advanced contact lenses to provide maps, data, and live feeds from cameras and satellites. The best part is that all this information is displayed on a translucent lens that does not obstruct one’s field of vision. The first application of the lens will be for soldiers to help them see what is around corners and navigate safely through dangerous situations.
As I thought about that, I am reminded that each of us has two lenses that help us navigate through the dangers and uncertainties in life—and those lenses are called The Bible and Faith.
The first lens is the Bible. which is “a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path!” (Ps. 119). God’s Word gives direction and instruction for life.
The second lens is Faith, which is defined as “…confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not yet see” (Hebrews 11:1). Faith gives strength to handle what is unseen in our journey: what we run into around a corner that we may not expect. Faith gives assurance and confidence.
With these two lenses of Scripture and faith, we have everything we need to navigate through life’s journey. Focus on your spiritual vision today, and remember, you have to use faith and scripture to benefit from them.
Have a Blessed Day!
