The Gospel of Matthew tells us that Magi from the East “…saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold and of incense and of myrrh”(Mt. 2:11) …none of which I received for Christmas.

GIZMAG publishes a list annually titled, “Top 10 Things you Probably Didn’t Get this Christmas.”
Some items on the list include:
• Your own personal “Floating Island” for $200 Million. It allows you to live in the lap of luxury on your own personal island, wherever you choose to put it.
• A $5million Hubolt Big Bang Watch that sports some 1282 Grade A Diamonds
• Or a $10,000 INuke Ipod docking station that promises to “Break Glass” if you turn it up loud enough.
• A Lamborghini Bicycle priced at a mere $26,000.

Lucky for me and for my family none of those things were on my list. In fact, I think the most expensive item on my list was about $50. However, I did encounter Christ… the Greatest Gift of all! His love does not need to be returned, exchanged or financed. Make sure you don’t miss it this holiday season.

I hope you had a Merry Christmas!
