The Bible offers these instructive words… “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.”(Proverbs 3:5-6)
Recently, a Belgian woman made international headlines by driving 900 miles out of her way due to a GPS ERROR. It seems Sabine Moreau was going to pick up a friend in Brussels about 90 miles from her house; however, because of a GPS error, she ended up traveling more than 900 miles out of her way.
The unexpected journey took her across five international borders. After two days of driving, she finally realized she was off-course when she entered the capital of Croatia. The police tracked her down, after her son had reported her missing, and she explained to them that she had been distracted, so she just kept following the GPS suggestions and traveling in the wrong direction.
I wonder how many of us do the same thing? We put our trust in the wrong place, and then, because we are distracted, we keep on traveling in the wrong direction. We stop thinking and let someone or something else direct our path.
Take some time to search your heart and clear your mind today. Determine if you are heading in the right direction in your life. Are you doing what God wants for your daily walk, your career, and your family? If not, consider trusting in the Lord to get you back on track. A heavenly GPS is never wrong.
Think about it, and have a blessed day!
