Did you know that “TRYING SOMETHING NEW” increases brain power?
A recent article highlighted several new activities that make you SMARTER:
First, learn to play a musical Instrument- Learning an instrument boosts IQ and increases activity in parts of the brain that controls both MEMORY & COORDINATION.
Second, go see a play or read poetry! Reading poetry utilizes more of your brain and engages the brain more actively than most contemporary stories.
Third, visit a museum! Visiting a Museum has been shown to reduce stress; at the very least, you will learn something and even if you don’t you will LOOK SMARTER.
Finally, go to church more! As Solomon stated in Proverbs, “For the LORD gives wisdom; from his mouth comes knowledge and understanding”(Proverbs 2:6).
Try something new this year and you’ll be smarter for it.
See you in church on Sunday.
