1 Corinthians 6:19, Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.
1 Corinthians 3:17, If any man destroys the temple of God, God will destroy him, for the temple of God is holy, and that is what you are.
At Cottonwood Creek, I’ve been in a teaching series entitled, “Life Matters More When We Honor God!” This past Sunday, I spoke about honoring God with our physical bodies. It is not uncommon this time of the year, for people to make New Year’s resolutions related to their physical health; we want to lose weight, exercise more, and eat better.
It is a good thing to take care of our bodies and our health. The Apostle Paul said in 1 Corinthians 6:19, “Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.” The Apostle Paul understood very clearly, that honoring God with our physical health was important to say the least. He said our bodies are the temple of God. Therefore, we should honor God with our bodies. One of the best ways we can do that is by making sure our bodies are as healthy as possible by eating right and getting a healthy amount of exercise. Both of these goals take will-power and planning. Research the best plan to help you eat healthy and exercise. Join me in resolving to be more physically healthy in 2017, in doing so we will honor God with our physical bodies.

Think about that and have a blessed day!
