We all remember playing “Hide & Seek” as kids. There were only a few simple rules: First, if I tag you–you are it. Followed quickly by rule number 2 which states, “No tag backs!”
A group of buddies have taken the simple game of tag to a whole new level. The friends, who are now in their 40’s, began their game of tag back in high school. Now, 23 years later -they are still playing the same game, but with a new twist. Since they no longer go to school together, and they do not even live in the same city or state, they only play every February.
There are no geographical barriers to their game. They fly or drive to where the intended target is—slip up on him, and tag him….with of course “NO TAG BACKS! The last guy tagged in the month of February is “IT” for the next 11 months until the game resumes the following February.
While that adult game of “Hide & Seek” sounds fun and interesting, the good news for us today is that God does not play “Hide & Seek” with us. God, Himself said, “You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.” Sometimes we think God is hiding when, in fact, we are not seeking. There are no barriers to seeking God. Nothing you have ever said or done can keep you from Him. So, TAG-YOU’RE IT!
Ponder on it, and have a blessed day!
