We have all heard of Synchronized Swimming, Synchronized Dancing and even Synchronized Diving, but here is a new one. How about “Synchronized Flushing.” That’s right; “Flushing.”
An entire Zimbabwe City is being asked to “synchronize flush” in order to clean the waste out of city sewer lines. I sure hope it works.
Sometimes I think we might need a “spiritual flush.” King David knew this principle well. Even though the Bible refers to him as a man after God’s own heart, he made mistakes and sinned. However, he realized that he needed to confess his sin and ask for forgiveness.
In Psalm 51, David said, “Create in me a clean heart oh God and renew in me a steadfast spirit.” And that is exactly what God did for him.
Elsewhere in the bible it says, ‘If we confess our sins, God is faithful to forgive us of all our iniquity.”(1 John 1:9)
Take some time today for some “synchronized flushing” of sin in your life, and let God cleanse you from all unrighteousness.
Have a Blessed Day!
