I just heard about a company that is trying to convince Americans to abandon the hot mug of coffee and grab a bag of chips instead. According to the company, these high-energy chips have added salt, spices, vitamin B and about 70 milligrams of caffeine. That is about the same amount of caffeine found in a cup of espresso or a Red Bull.
However, many nutritionists are already crying foul because although the chips do provide the caffeine many Americans are craving, these chips also have about 290 calories and not much else that is healthy. In other words, there are better and healthier ways to get the physical energy boost you need than caffeinated chips.
In the book of 2 Corinthians, Paul said that God provides the “spiritual” energy we need to make it through life. Paul said, “…we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed…” (2 Corinthians 4:7-8).
I wonder if a bag of chips can say that.
Have a Blessed Day!
