Ecclesiastes 11:1, Ship your grain across the sea; after many days you may receive a return. 2 Invest in seven ventures, yes, in eight; you do not know what disaster may come upon the land.

Deuteronomy 8:18, But remember the LORD your God, for it is He who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms His covenant, which He swore to your ancestors, as it is today.

Proverbs 28:27, Those who give to the poor will lack nothing, but those who close their eyes to them receive many curses.

Proverbs 19:17, Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the LORD, and He will reward them for what they have done.

James 1:22, Do not merely listen to the Word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.

God did not put us on this earth to live for ourselves. He blesses us so that you can bless others. This is all part of God making us more like Himself. God wants us to use our time, talents and money to help others. Everything we have in life is because of God’s generosity. We wouldn’t have anything, if it weren’t for God’s generosity. Even our ability to create wealth is a gift from God.

The Bible says in Deuteronomy 8:18, “Remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you the ability to produce wealth.” God’s generosity exemplifies how we can be a blessing to others. The more we help others, the more God helps and blesses us. So, as you make your journey today, remember:  manage your money with a Christ-like focus, look for opportunities to help others in need, be a ‘doer’ not just a ‘hearer.’

Take care and have a blessed day as you are a blessing to others!

Now talk to God- This is where you turn your thoughts into prayer. It could be a prayer of gratitude of praise. It could be a prayer of confession or a request for God’s help. It’s up to you. Take a minute to write a prayer or response to what God said to you.
