Do you ever feel like you are simply going around in circles and not making any progress in life?
On May 17, a Chicago man attempting to set a new Guinness World Record for the longest marathon on a Ferris Wheel will try to ride the Chicago area Ferris Wheel for 48 straight hours. The good news is that according to the rules, he can take a break every 5 minutes, but he cannot sleep the entire 48 hours. The current record is a little over 30 hours.
So let me get this straight… He plans to spend two full days going around in circles and will eventually end up in the exact same place he started.
Many of us exemplify this same behavior. We cycle around in circles making no progress in life. We do not attempt to make any changes to improve ourselves mentally, spiritually, emotionally or physically. If you feel like that is your life, consider these words from the Apostle Paul who said, “Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity” (Ephesians 5:15-16).
In other words, let’s make sure we make progress today every chance we get.
Think about it, and don’t spin your wheels today!
