~PEACE~ “To reconcile us to God”-Sunday, December 20
2 Corinthians 5:18-19
18 Everything is from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: 19 That is, in Christ, God was reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed the message of reconciliation to us.

We tend to buy a lot at Christmas time, and sometimes those purchases have warranties for if they break or if something goes wrong. When this happens, we expect the problem to be made right; sometimes we demand it gets fixed. However, it is imperative to register those products, so the warranties can be guaranteed, and even then, the result is not always what we would like.

When we place our faith in Jesus, we are truly “registered” for an eternal life time warranty that does not expire and cannot be revoked or refused. We especially need this warranty of grace when “things” break in our lives, and reconcilliation is needed.  Thankfully our imperfections are not held against us, and our mistakes do  not void our “warranty” we have in Christ. Salvation is a free gift that has been given to us by what He has done for us. By making things right, we are made right through His ministry of reconciliation.

Let this be your prayer: Lord, I long for a peace that You promise for those who have chosen to follow You… an incomprehensible peace that can only come from You. And the mysterious root of Your peace is from Your truth that “Everything is from You”, the good, the bad, and the ugly. All of this can only be reconciled through You in me. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.
