This October, 100-year-old Fauja Singh made his way into the Guinness Book of World Records as the oldest person to complete a full-distance marathon finishing the race in eight hours with family, friends and supporters greeting him at the finish line. You might think that Singh was weary from the race. However, he has another goal to participate in the torch relay for the 2012 London Games. You have to applaud this 100-year-old for his accomplishment and his example of endurance and stamina in life.

Scripture encourages us in the book of Hebrews to have this same spiritual stamina. “Let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of faith.”

No matter your age, there are times when you feel like you are running strong and firm., and there are times when you are so tired and weary that you don’t think you can take another step.  Christ has a plan for your life’s race. Finish strong. Keep on running. You just might end up in the record Book.
