The 10th president of the United States, John Tyler, was born in 1790. When Tyler was born, George Washington was giving his State of the Union Address and the Civil War was still several years away.

Believe it or not, although he was born 220 years ago, John Tyler still has two living grandchildren. You might be asking, “How is that possible?” Here’s the math: Tyler had 15 children; he was 63 when his son, Lyon, was born. Lyon had six children, with two of them being born when he was in his 70s. Both grandchildren currently live in Virginia.

If you think this is unlikely, you are not alone. This is definitely proof that we never know how long our impact might last.

Colossians 3:23 tells us, “Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord rather than for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance.”

Let’s work heartily together today!
