Do Not Be Anxious – July 27, 2016

Philippians 4:6 says, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your request to God. 7And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard you hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.” This verse reminds us that we must take our request to God because He answers all prayers. The answer may not be what we would desire or want, but we should not be anxious because God can and will give us peace.

My favorite prayer is the Serenity Prayer, “God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; courage to change the things I can; and wisdom to know the difference. Living one day at a time; enjoying one moment at a time; accepting hardships as the pathway to peace; taking, as Jesus did, this sinful world as it is, not as I would have it; trusting that you will make all things right if I surrender to Your will; so that I may be reasonably happy in this life and supremely happy with You forever in the next. Amen”

Take Care and have a blessed day!
