John 18:37, “You are a king, then!” said Pilate. Jesus answered, “You say that I am a king. In fact, the reason I was born and came into the world is to testify to the truth. Everyone on the side of truth listens to Me.”

John 13:34, “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. 35By this everyone will know that you are My disciples, if you love one another.”

Tomorrow is Maundy Thursday. No, it’s not, Monday Thursday, it’s Maundy. What does Maundy mean? Maundy is the Latin word for command. On the Thursday of Passion week, Jesus was in the upper room with His disciples. He ate with them, instituted the Lord’s supper, washed their feet and then gave them a command. The command that Jesus gave the disciples in the upper room is found in John 13:34, “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. 35By this everyone will know that you are My disciples, if you love one another.”

As you make your journey through Maundy-Thursday tomorrow, remember the command of Jesus, to love one another, just as Jesus loves you. Join us at Cottonwood Creek on Thursday from 5:00p – 7:00p, we will be offering the Lord’s Supper as we celebrate this day.

Think about that, and I hope to see you in Church on Easter Sunday!
