The Bible encourages us to “ …consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another…” (Hebrews 10)
Here is an encouraging story…
Ben Baltz is an 11-year-old cancer survivor. He lost his right leg to bone cancer when he was just 6 years old and has been walking, running, and playing soccer and baseball with the aid of a prosthetic leg and a mechanical knee.
Recently, Ben competed in the Sea Turtle Tri-Kids Triathlon. During the race difficulties began for this young competitor. After finishing the 150-yard swim and the four-mile bike ride, Ben had made it halfway through the one-mile run when one of the screws in his knee came loose and the prosthetic broke in half.
Several marines were volunteering at the triathlon, and one of them picked up Ben and put him on his back and started running. Then the other marines joined in running beside them. Ben did finish the race on the back of a Marine with others running along side him cheering for him.
As I thought about that story, I wondered if there are people in our lives that we can pick up and help them finish their course today.
Think about it…and have a blessed Day!
