You have probably heard the phrase, “When life gives you lemons, make lemonade.” That was exactly what an 11-year-old entrepreneur named Jessica did.
Jessica was raising money to go to church camp by setting up a lemonade stand every day on the same corner. She had almost reached her goal when a couple of thieves pulled up to her simple, homemade stand in a Mini-Van. One of the men jumped out and stole her purse, her belongings, and all of her lemonade profits.
Honestly, if the story ended there, it would leave a real sour taste in our mouths, but this determined youngster was resilient. When asked what she was going to do to raise the money again, she said, “I am going back to the corner to sell more lemonade.”
Her determination and strength should inspire each of of to tread-on in difficult times. If you feel like life has given you a heap of lemons, or perhaps you feel like someone has tried to steal your dreams…just keep on going. After all, the best tasting lemonade come from the sourest of lemons.
Have a Blessed Day!
