Dr. Tanya Luhrman, a psychological anthropologist at Stanford University recently appeared on CNN to give a special report on people who have heard God speak. Her special report offered a surprisingly supportive scientific analysis of evangelical Christians who claim that they have heard God speak directly to them.

She concluded that, “Science cannot tell us whether God generated the voice that Abraham or Augustine heard. But it can tell us that many of these events are normal…part of the fabric of who we are as humans.”
Then Dr. Luhrman concluded with a powerful example of God speaking. She said, “When the Reverend Martin Luther King, Jr. sat at his kitchen table, in the winter of 1956, terrified by the fear of what might happen to him and his family during the Montgomery bus boycott, he said he heard the voice of Jesus promising, ‘I will be with you’…so he went.

In Jeremiah, God said, “ Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.”
Try it…and have a blessed day!
