Good news! “Not only does Chocolate taste good, but it is good for you and your health!” And, there may be hard science to back it up.
The world’s largest chocolate manufacturer just won the support of the European Food Safety Authority stating that the “cocoa flavanol” compounds found in dark chocolate are good for your circulation.
It seems that scientific studies have demonstrated that dark chocolate can lower your blood pressure, improve your circulation and reduce your heart-disease risk by relaxing your blood circulation. It may not be long before you see dark chocolate sold with “Good Health Claims.”
However, nutritional advocates are a bit worried because although a little dark chocolate is good for you, too much can cause other health problems. Limitation and moderation are critical.
It is good to know that not all things that are good for you have to be filtered through moderation. Peter told us, we should be “like newborn babies, craving pure, spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation…” (1 Peter 2:2).
So go ahead and throw caution to the wind; engulf as much scripture as you can handle, guzzle the spiritual milk by the gallons, give in to your craving for the foundation that leads to spiritual maturity. And don’t for get to throw a little chocolate in with it.
Have a Blessed Day!
