Romans 4:17, As it is written: “I have made you a father of many nations.” He is our father in the sight of God, in whom he believed—the God who gives life to the dead and calls into being things that were not.
Luke 18:27, Jesus replied, “What is impossible with man is possible with God.”
James 1:22, Do not merely listen to the Word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.
There are certain words in life we consider dead-ends: cancer, divorce, bankruptcy, infertility, and unemployment, just to name a few. How do you know when you’re at a dead end? You know it when things are out of your control. When you find yourself trapped at dead end and you don’t know what to do, remember, the situation may be out of your control, but it’s not out of God’s control. When you face a dead end, don’t focus on what you can’t do, instead focus on what God can do!
The Bible says in Luke 18:27, “What is impossible with man(us) is possible with God.” When you face things that are out of your control, you need something more than a positive mental attitude. You need faith in God. Most of life is beyond your control, so you need faith far more than you need positive thinking. As you make your journey, remember that with faith in God, your dead-end will ultimately lead to deliverance.
Take care and have a blessed day!

What did you hear?– What did God say to you as you read today’s Scripture and devotion?
What do you think?– How does it apply to your life?
What will you do?– Don’t just be a hearer of the Word. Be a doer of the Word. (James 1:22)
Now talk to God– This is where you turn your thoughts into prayer. It could be a prayer of gratitude of praise. It could be a prayer of confession or a request for God’s help. It’s up to you. Take a minute to write a prayer or response to what God said to you.
