The Bible says, “In your anger do not sin. Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry.”(Eph. 4:26)

Several weeks ago, retired General Norman Schwarzkopf died at the age of 78. “Stormin’ Norman” was a four-star general and the commander of 1991’s Operation Desert Storm, which quickly drove an invading Iraq out of Kuwait.
The burly ‘Stormin Norman’ came to define the nation’s renewed sense of military pride and swift justice. However, he was often criticized for having a bad temper. Knowing this, he once wrote:

“An awful lot has been written about my temper. But I would defy anyone to go back over the years and tell me anyone whose career I’ve ruined, anyone whom I’ve driven out of the service, anyone I’ve fired from a job. I don’t do that. I get angry at a PRINCIPLE, not at a PERSON.”

That is a good lesson for each of us to remember today. Do not get mad at people; get mad at principle. Too often we take our anger out on people because we are in a bad mood, or for whatever reason, we just do not like them.
According to the Bible, that would be sin. So keep your anger in check today. Remember: Principle NOT People!
Think about it…and have a blessed day!
