For most of us, QuickTrip is the place we stop for gas, coffee and perhaps a slurpee for the kids; however, when you look below the surface, it is a lot more than a simple gas station. It is a company that cares.
QT consistently ranks at the top of the list of Forbes magazine’s best companies to work for because for many reasons. It cares about its employees. It gives 5% of the its profits to local charities—so it cares about the community in which it serves. And, for over two decades the company has participated in the Safe Place Program designed to help young runaways and abused youth 24 hours a day. Quicktrip trains all its employees to help any young person that might walk through their doors needing help.
It is always good to know when some of the companies that we frequent are more than just businesses. Many of them are in fact companies that care, and Quicktrip definitely fits that bill.
As I thought about Quicktrip’s obvious care for more than just profits, I was reminded of the words of the Apostle Paul who said, “Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. “(Galatians 6:2)
It is pretty clear that QT is doing that daily. How about you? What are you doing today to make a difference? Look for someone in your community to lend a hand and help in their time of need.
Think about it and have a blessed day!

Dear Pastor John:
My daughter lives in Tulsa and she just landed a job in QT as an Assistant Manager. She is finishing her masters in North Eastern Oklahoma State University in Talequah. Don’t know if you heard the town, it’s next to Checota where Carrie Underwood went to college and she was a sorority in NSUOK. To make the story short, my daughter is graduating her masters in May. I was always afraid of when she works all night due to robberies happening at atll times anywhere in the world. I am so glad you posted the nice story of QT positive outlook to work for this company. It gives me more faith that God will be watching my daughter and she is hoping to move up in the corporate one of this days. It was the right time and right place when she decided to moved to Tulsa because the corporate office is located in Tulsa and they began business in 1958. Thank you for the daily blog you post everday. It’s encouraging, give hopes and faith to everyone. Have a Bless day as well.
