Luke 6:31, Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
I recently read an article titled, “Scientifically Proven Ways to Increase your Happiness,” and I thought I would share five of those ways with you this week, so this may be the happiest week you have had in a while. The first step to happiness is, “Practice Mindfulness,” or in other words, pay attention. The second scientifically proven key to happiness is that you should smile more, and todays third scientifically proven way to increase your happiness is to, “Have at Least 10 Good Friends.”
A recent survey of 1,700 people found that those with ten or more good friends were the happiest. Those in the study with five, or fewer friends, were more likely to be unhappy. Those with five to ten good friends were equally likely to be happy or unhappy, but those with ten or more good friends were much more likely to be happy. If you do the math, and come up a little short on good friends, here’s some good news. There’s no better day than today to begin turning some acquaintances into good friends. The best way to gain a new friend is by remembering these words of Jesus found in Luke 6:31, “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” It’s just that simple, living the “golden rule” is the best way to build “golden friendships!”
Think about…and have a blessed day!
