Recently, the “Windseeker” ride at Southern California’s Knotts Berry Farm broke down and stranded twenty passengers for about two hours. The Windseeker is not just any ride, and the stuck passengers were not just stuck at an ordinary place.
The Windseeker ride is a three-minute ride that first lifts the thrill-seekers some 300 feet with their legs dangling and then spins them around to get a good view of the entire amusement park and the beautiful California landscape.
However, it broke down while the passengers were at the highest point, and there was no way to get them down. They just sat there for two hours…feet dangling.
As I read that news report, I was reminded of these comforting words from Scripture that say,
“Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence?
8 If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there.
9 If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea,
10 even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast.”(Psalm 139)
So wherever you find yourself today, do not forget that you are not alone!
Have a Blessed Day!
