Proverbs 15:30, A cheerful look brings joy to the heart; good news makes for good health.
I recently read an article titled, “Scientifically Proven Ways to Increase your Happiness,” and I thought I would share five of those with you this week. This may be the best week you have had in a while. The first one is, “Practice Mindfulness,” or in other words, pay attention. If you missed yesterday’s blog about this, you can find it @ www.johnmarkcaton.com. The second scientifically proven key to happiness is that you should smile more.
Numerous studies have found that the simple act of smiling relieves anxiety and reduces stress. Scientist believe that when we smile there are biological processes that somehow trick our brain into thinking we are happy, and as a result our moods are lifted. Conversely, when people frowned or put on a pouty face they felt worse. We really don’t need a new scientific study to tell us that. Several thousand years ago, Solomon wrote in Proverbs 15:30, “A cheerful look brings joy to the heart; good news makes for good health.”
So throw a smile on your face today; you will not regret the impact that it has on you and others around you!
Think about it, and have a great day!
