Trying to boost its sales, Taco Bell recently revamped its menu; but menu additions alone might not be enough to bring it out of the corporate sales slumps.
So Taco Bell no longer wants you to “Think Outside the Bun” or even remember “Yo Quiero Taco Bell,” but now, with its new slogan, Taco Bell is encouraging you to “Live Mas.”
The new “Live Mas” slogan is clearly trying to reposition the brand. Marketers want you to think that going to Taco Bell is a life-enhancing, trendy, and motivational experience.
The purpose of Taco Bell’s new slogan is to pull itself out of a slumping sales environment.
However, there are times when we all need new slogans in our lives. We have past failures or slumping relationships and we just need a fresh start.
Late in his Ministry, the apostle Paul declared a new slogan and said,
“Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead” (Phil 3:13-14).
