Have you ever noticed that some people just don’t learn?
Recently, an Oregon man received three tickets within one hour. These were not your ordinary speeding tickets; one was for driving 105 MPH, the second one was for 98 MPH and the third ticket was for moseying along at 92 mph. All in 65 MPH zones.
The ironic detail is that he was speeding in order to appear at a court date for criminal activity. In addition to accumulating over $2,000 in fines, chances are that his license will be suspended. By the way, I don’t think he made his court appearance on time and probably added another one for his new citations.
As we speed through daily expectations and activities, let us heed the Bible’s instructions. Let us take notice of changes we can make, lessons we can learn, and mistakes we can avoid.
The Book of Proverbs says, “A wise man is cautious and turns away from evil, but a fool is arrogant and careless” (Proverbs 14:6).
Have a Blessed Day…and slow down a bit!
