Recently, a rare, large dog bolted from a cargo holding area at La Guardia Airport and darted down taxiways and runways shutting down airport traffic for half an hour. When Port Authority workers tried to capture it, the crazy canine continued running and jumped into a flushing bay at the end of a runway.
The dog swam about a mile from shore before being lassoed in by harbor police and pulled to safety. Authorities reported that the dog was “tired” and “disoriented” but was eventually safely returned to its owner.
Some of us are like this rare dog. We dash around frantically. We dart aimlessly without a plan and often times run away from the people who try to help us.
If you feel that way today, God says, come to me and “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you and I watch over you” (Psalm 32:8).
So spend some time today moving closer to God instead of darting in every other direction.
Have a Blessed Day!
