One of my favorite Bible verses is “If anyone, then, knows the good they ought to do and doesn’t do it, it is sin for them.”(James 4:17)

Recently, a Plano man was pulled over by a Plano police officer, but he got a little more than he expected from the officer.
The officer had pulled over Hayden Carlo for an expired registration sticker. When the officer pointed out the infraction, Hayden told him that he did not have the money to updated his vehicle due to hard financial times. He explained that each month it came down to getting the registration updated or feeding his kids.

The police officer wrote the citation for the expired inspection sticker, folded up the ticket and handed it to the driver.
After the officer pulled away, Hayden opened up the citation, and he found $100 wrapped in the ticket. He told media outlets, “I opened it up and there was a $100 bill…I just broke down in my car crying…what else could I do.”

The Police officer wants to remain anonymous and does not want community accolades; however, it is difficult to let an act of kindness and self-sacrifice like this go unnoticed.  When the officer was asked about the kind gesture, he said, “…this man needed the money more than me, and it was the right thing to do!”
So look around you today and do the right thing!
Have a blessed day!
