An article called 10 Habits of Skinny People recently caught my eye, especially the opening sentence which stated, “If you don’t like diets and you don’t want to give up eating your favorite foods just develop some new habits.” The article released the most successful habits of skinny people.
1) They use small plates instead of big ones.
2) They drink a full glass of water before and with every meal.
3) They don’t drink sodas.
There you have it, three habits that will make you skinnier over time without eating cardboard for breakfast, lunch and dinner. While none of those habits of skinny people will make us skinnier over night, if we put them into practice over time they will work. That’s exactly what the Apostle Paul stated when he wrote, 9 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. – Galatians 6:9
I’ve found that far too many people start good habits but quit too soon to see any real change. They start off determined to do good but get distracted or discouraged, so they quit. My encouragement to you today is… do not give up! If you do the right thing over and over and over again, you will see positive results. This concept works in every area of our lives.
