Hi, this is Dave Marsh, the Children’s Pastor at Cottonwood Creek Baptist Church with your inspirational thought of the day.

In this part of the country, we know something about droughts. Just talk to anyone with local lake property. Droughts will come and eventually they will go. Likewise, in our personal lives, we all experience seasons of drought in one way or another, but they need not be devastating. Scripture tells us we can be prepared for these seasons of drought.

In the Old Testament, the Prophet Jeremiah wrote about those who succeed even in these extreme periods. He said, “Blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him. They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream and does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.”
