Hi, I’m Caleb Beets, the Youth Pastor at Cottonwood Creek with your Inspirational Thought of the Day!

Because of the events that happened in Oklahoma, people question if we should have the death penalty and what is truly just in these situations. While I think this is a legitimate question that needs to be answered and I think can be answered, I wanted to pose the questions why do we want justice?

We want justice because we know that things are wrong or broken, and we want them to be made right. Our world was fractured with Adam and Eve, and we have wanted it to be made right ever since.

There is hope for justice in Jesus.  Col 1:19-20:   For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, 20 and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross.

Pursue justice to fullest and pursue it in Jesus have a blessed day.
