Jeremiah 29:13, You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.

Matthew 7:7,  Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened.

Hide and Seek is a fun game for kids to play with each other, or even grownups who are still young at heart. Whoever is “IT” takes their turn to go and hide while the ‘seekers’ wait as they countdown before they begin their search.

The hider hopes to be found only after an arduous and thorough search. The hider is looking for the hiding place that hits the sweet spot. It is not impossible to find him, but it does take some effort and commitment to discover him.

Sometimes, people consider a search for God, and wonder what kind of hiding place He has for Himself and how He could be discovered.

He has encouraged us to look for Him: in Jeremiah 29:13 he tells us “You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.”

Jesus says in Matthew 7:7, “… seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 8 …; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.”

So, can God be found? How do we search for Him? He promises that we will find Him when we truly seek, and when we search with all of our hearts
