Psalm 100:4, Enter His gates with thanksgiving, and His courts with praise; give thanks to Him and bless His name.
I recently ran across a story about the Zanger family from Quincy, Illinois. Leo and Ruth Zanger have been married for 59 years, and they have 12 children, 53 grandchildren, 46 great grandchildren, and one great-great granddaughter. If you do that math, that is 112 kids, grandkids and great grand kids. That means they are celebrating a birthday about every 3 days throughout the year. When they want to have a family gathering, they rent out a big hall near Quincy so they can all fit together. I think that is so cool; wouldn’t it be great to have such a big family.
Then I thought as Christians, we do have a big family called the family of God or the body of Christ, the church. We have family reunions every Sunday.
So make plans now to join the next family reunion this Sunday at church, and do not forget what Psalm 100:4 says, “Enter His gates with thanksgiving, and His courts with praise! Give thanks to Him; bless His name!”
Think about it…and have a blessed day!
