As a hot sauce fan…or to be more honest, a fanatic—this article caught my attention: “Hot Sauce for the Win!”

It turns out that Americans are obsessed with Hot Sauce. According to a recent study, “The US hot sauce market has grown by 150% since the year 2,000—which is more than BBQ sauce, ketchup, mayonnaise and mustard—COMBINED!”

And Iam probably personally responsible for a good portion of those gains because I put hot sauce on everything-my chips, salads, sandwiches, eggs, tacos, burritos, hamburgers and just everything else that goes in my mouth.

So congrats to hot sauce for a big win and spicing up everything that goes in my mouth.

But, as I read that article and focused on what goes in my mouth, I couldn’t help but be reminded that what goes in my mouth affects me, but the words that come out of my mouth affects others around me.

Here is what the Bible says about those words that come out of our mouth, “Be wise in the way you act toward others; make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt.” Colossians 4:5-6

So feel free to eat your spicy food today…but make sure your words are seasoned with grace.

And have a blessed day!
