What are the three hardest words to say in the English Language?
I recently ran across a study from the folks at Freakonomics where they examined the three hardest words to say in the English language. You might think they are words like “I Love You,” or “I trust you.” Their findings revealed that the three hardest words for folks to say are “I don’t know!” Primarily because we American’s like to think we know everything, and we never want to look uninformed.
It really is ok to say, “I don’t know.” Especially if, well…you don’t know! Truth be told, none of us knows everything. In the Bible there is a question asked by a Philippian Jailer in Acts chapter 16. He said, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” The good news is that Paul and Silas had the answer. They did not just respond, “I don’t’ know!” Instead they replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved!” The Philippian jailor was just that. He was saved. Those eleven words made all the difference.
The answer to that question is still the same today. Eleven simple words can change a life forever.
Think about it, and have a great day!
