Mark 9:24, Immediately the father of the child cried out and said, “I believe; help my unbelief!”

Do you ever have trouble believing the promises of God to the point that you feel your faith starting to falter? Do not fear. This is normal in the Christian life. It can cause us to doubt our salvation and wonder whether we have really been saved at all. When this happens, the Bible gives us a good prayer to cry out to God. This man in the book of Mark cried out to God, “I believe; help my unbelief.”

It is the faith which cries out to God “I believe but help my unbelief” that is still sufficient enough to give you the assurance of being God’s child. This objective assurance is at the essence of your faith; even when your faith may be weak. This assurance does not come from your experience or feeling, but from the promises God has made in His word. As you are going about your weekend, please ask God to strengthen your faith and give you the assurance that you do belong to Him.

Have a blessed weekend.
