Listen to today’s Inspirational Thought-

I have touched on this topic before, but it’s worth repeating again.  God created us to be “relational beings.” However, with all the positives of modern technology there is also a potential downside.

According to a recent study, if you are one of the over 500 million Facebook users worldwide, you have probably felt those twinges of sadness that often follow a perusal of your newsfeed.  If you have, you are not alone.

The social network, which recently turned 10 years old, has redefined relationships and how people share images and updates about their lives with others. But according to recent research, it is not making people happier. The opposite, in fact, is true!

Multiple studies paint a picture of the social network as a place of subconscious comparison, which unintentionally makes life a popularity contest between “friends or acquaintances.”   The truth is that comparisons are deadly, and they are an enemy to real happiness both online and in our real lives.

Here is a quick thought that will improve your happiness today.  Remember that there are over fifty mentions of “one another” in the New Testament, but comparing yourself to one another is not one of them.  However, praying for one another, encouraging one another and loving one another are!

Think about it…and have a happier day!
