Hi! My name is Caleb Beets, youth pastor at Cottonwood Creek, with your inspirational thought of the day.
A lot of times whenever we are going through something hard, we often want to blame God for our trouble. Bad things happen all around us, and I often get the question, “Why do bad things happen to good people?
We live in a fallen world, and because of that, bad things are going to happen. God is not going to stop bad situations all the time. Blaming God comes easy; however, we often forget to stop and give thanks to God for the good in our lives. Stop… look around… and see all the good that God has provided. Then pause and give Him praise!
If something bad is happening to you, God gives us the promise that He will help us in times of need. Matthew 11 says, “Come to Me all who are weary and heavy laden and I will give you rest.”
If you are going through a hard time now, I want to encourage you to go to the Lord, and He will give you rest.
