Hi, this is Jeana Caton. My husband- John Mark – pastors Cottonwood Creek Church. I am excited to bring you today’s Inspirational Thought. I recently heard a soccer coach telling his athletes IF YOU LOSE IT GET IT BACK- That is a great life principle-Already this week, we have talked about losing our ambition, our joy and our hope. Today I want to focus on losing our ability to communicate. Teenagers, college students, adults and elderly seem to have lost the ability to communicate appropriately. People seem to turn off the governor on their words and lose the filter of appropriateness as they plunge forward with harsh communication to others. Grown women tear apart teenagers at local business for making a simple mistake on the job. Teenagers say things on social media that prove- THEY HAVE LOST THE ABILITY TO COMMUNICATE APPROPRIATELY. The elderly blame their age as an excuse to complain, grumble and demanded. This should not be. If you have lost your perspective on appropriate talk- GET IT BACK.
Scripture says: Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.
Usually, we know when we say the wrong thing in the wrong way. Don’t make excuses for the way you talk, make changes. If you have lost the ability to communicate appropriately, GET IT BACK.
Think about it, and have a great day.
