Acts 20:32, “Now I commit you to God and to the Word of His grace, which can build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified.”

Ephesians 1:11, In Him we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of Him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of His will…

1 Peter 1:3, Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In His great mercy He has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you…

James 1:22, Do not merely listen to the Word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.

Did you know you have a large inheritance coming? It is promised to you because of God’s grace. The Bible says in Acts 20:32, “Now I commit you to God and to the Word of His grace, which can build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified.” So as a follower of Jesus, we have an inheritance coming.

When you become a follower of Jesus, you’re not just a believer, you’re a belonger. You become a part of God’s family. Family privileges come along with that decision. The Bible says in 1 Peter 1:3, “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In His great mercy He has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade— kept in heaven for you…” So, as you make your journey through the weekend remember those words, I belong to God and I have an inheritance coming, and that inheritance will never spoil or fade away.

Take care and have a blessed weekend!

Now talk to God
This is where you turn your thoughts into prayer. It could be a prayer of gratitude of praise. It could be a prayer of confession or a request for God’s help. It’s up to you. Take a minute to write a prayer or response to what God said to you.
