1 Corinthians 16:14, …and whatever you do, do it with kindness and love.” (TLB)
Ephesians 4:2, Be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other’s faults because of your love.
This week’s blog topic examines five important Biblical principles about our work place.
1) Work Enthusiastically
2) Work for God not your company, your boss or your board
3) Work on your character and not just your career
Biblical work principle number four is: Care about the people with whom you work! The Bible does not make a distinction between those people we care about and those we do not.
The Apostle Paul said: 1 Corinthians 16:14 “… and whatever you do, do it with kindness and love.” (TLB) That verse is talking about people. Show kindness and love in all you do at work, at home and at play. Show kindness and love to those around you.
If you remember from Monday, I said your greatest ministry takes place outside of Sunday morning worship. I can’t think of a better way to minister than to genuinely care about those surrounding us at our work place.
Ephesians 4:2 reminds us, “Be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other’s faults because of your love.”
In other words, no one is perfect. None of us is perfect including you or anyone else at the office, and if you really care about your co-workers, the Bible says you will be humble, gentle, patient with others, and forgiving of their faults.
Imagine what a positive impact you could make at the office is you started genuinely caring about your co-workers.
Think about it…and have a blessed day!
