Relating To Brokenness – January 30, 2017
Have you ever wondered why you identify with brokenness? At the very core of who you are, you recognize things that go wrong in life. Loved ones die from disease or accidents. The world is filled with injustice, hate, suffering and violence. When something is broken, you recognize its brokenness in light of its original rightness. To put it differently, you only know if something is broken when you have an idea of the way that it should be, or once was, before it became broken.
Upon examining today’s world, the reason you know that it’s not right is because you know that an ideal world would not have death, hate, lies, and evil. The reason you feel that way is because the world was created perfectly? Throughout Genesis 1 and 2, God saw what He created and it was good! However, when mankind disobeyed God, this perfect world and communion with God was broken. You can identify the brokenness in the world today, but can you recognize the solution to this problem, Jesus Christ?
Have a great day!
