At a recent football game, an LSU photographer took a picture of some dedicated fans that had painted their upper bodies purple and yellow for school spirit, but as the editor looked closer at the image, he realized the picture was of a group of Christian LSU students who had also painted small crosses on their chests.

Before publishing the picture of the LSU students, the editor airbrushed the crosses off the boys’ chests. When the picture was emailed and published in its edited form, many of the kids in the pictures were surprised that the crosses were gone.  When asked about the cross removal, the Christian students said, “Our admiration for the Tigers is second only to our love for Jesus.”

Initially, LSU was unapologetic but later apologized for the incident; however, the media organization said it would no longer print any picture with such images in it.

Jesus said, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.”(Matthew 16:24)

So, I for one applaud those good-hearted, well-behaved, LSU students. Keep up the school spirit, but most of all, Keep the Faith!

Think About it, and have a blessed Day!
