Acrostic For Grace – June 30, 2016
Romans 5:8, But God shows His love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
This month I have been teaching a series titled, “Faces of Grace!” I titled it “Faces of Grace” for a simple reason; we all need grace. Each and every one of us needs grace; we are the faces of grace.
Multiple acrostics exist to explain or define God’s grace. An acrostic is a series of lines or verses in which the first letter spells out a word. The best acrostic I have ever heard for the word GRACE is:
G-R-A-C-E is God’s Riches At Christ’s Expense! Romans 5:8 says, “But God shows His love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Now that is grace, God’s Riches At Christ’s Expense. God showed us His love and mercy when Christ died for us. If you don’t truly understand grace, ponder on that acrostic. Use the acrostic to explain Christ’s love to someone in your path today, you’ll both be better off for it!
Take care and have a grace-filled day!
