There is a new perfume on the market called “Paper Passion.” Its fragrance will make you smell like an old book. Most of us remember times where we have entered the bookstore or the library and inhaled the familiar, pleasant scent of the written word. We enjoy opening an old book and take pleasure in the smell as we read or re-read the pages.

One creative perfume-maker is looking to capitalize on this scent in hopes that you will buy it. The new scent is creatively packaged in a box that looks like a book with the pages cut out. The bottle of perfume rests where the pages would normally exist. This is very creative, but I am not sure that I will purchase “Paper Passion” at $98/bottle.

I guess I will miss the opportunity to smell like a good, old book…or will I? The Apostle Paul said, that if we live our lives according to the words in the Bible, “… we are to God the pleasing aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing.” (2 Corinthians 2:15). I hope our life pages are pleasing to those around us. There may be things in our life that we would like to erase, liquid-paper, wad up and throw in the trash or delete.  Remember: “Only God can turn a MESS into a message, a TEST into a testimony, a TRIAL into a triumph, and a VICTIM into a victory.”

Living according to the pages of the Bible and being a pleasant aroma to those around us truly formulate the best fragrance of all!
Have a Blessed Day!
