Psalm1:1, Blessed are those who do not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers…

This week, I’ve been sharing with you the top 5 most-searched Bible verses that come from the Psalms. So far, we have covered Psalm 46:1. and  Psalm 37:4. If you missed either of those you can find them on my daily blog (www.johnmarkcaton.com). The 3rd most-searched Bible verse in the Psalms its Psalm 1:1, which says, “Blessed are those who do not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers…”

That verse is pretty self-explanatory. If you want to be blessed, do not follow the downward spiral  spelled out in that verse. First, there was casual walking with the wicked, and then there was the more deliberate putting yourself in places where the wicked usually congregate, and lastly was the deliberate association with those who intend to do wrong. That downward spiral leads you away from God’s blessings. Let me restate that Psalm for you today and make it a little more personal, “If you want to be blessed today don’t walk with the wicked, don’t hang out with the sinners, and whatever you do don’t make friends with those who plan to do wrong.”

Think about it…and have a blessed day!
