Luke 15:1Now the tax collectors and sinners were all gathering around to hear Jesus. 2 But the Pharisees and the teachers of the law muttered, “This Man welcomes sinners and eats with them.” 3 Then Jesus told them this parable: 4 “Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Doesn’t he leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it?… 7 I tell you that in the same waythere will be more rejoicing in Heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.

Luke 15:8“Or suppose a woman has ten silver coins and loses one. Doesn’t she light a lamp, sweep the house and search carefully until she finds it?… 10 In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.”

Luke 15:11Jesus continued: “There was a man who had two sons. 12 The younger onesaid to his father, ‘Father, give me my share of the estate.’ So he divided his property between them… 22 “But the father said to his servants, ‘Quick! 24 For this son of mine was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’ So they began to celebrate… 
28 “The older brother became angry and refused to go in. So his father went out and pleaded with him.

John 1:40Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, was one of the two who heard what John had said and who had followed Jesus. 41 The first thing Andrew did was to find his brother Simon and tell him, “We have found the Messiah” (that is, the Christ). 42 And he brought him to Jesus. Jesus looked at him and said, “You are Simon son of John. You will be called Cephas” (which, when translated, is Peter).

John 1:45Philip found Nathanael and told him, “We have found the one Moses wrote about in the Law, and about whom the prophets also wrote—Jesus of Nazareth, the Son of Joseph.” 46 “Nazareth! Can anything good come from there?” Nathanael asked. “Come and see,” said Philip… 49 Then Nathanael declared, “Rabbi, You are the Son of God; You are the King of Israel.”

John 4:28Then, leaving her water jar, the woman went back to the town and said to the people, 29 “Come, see a Man who told me everything I ever did. Could this be the Messiah?” 30 They came out of the town and made their way toward Him… 39 Many of the Samaritans from that town believed in Him because of the woman’s testimony…
