Reward For A Job Well Done – September 5, 2016

Hebrews 11:6, Without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must [first] believe that He exists and [second] believe that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him.

We all know that children love receiving rewards and gifts. That generally doesn’t change when we become adults. Have you ever seen grown men pursue a foul ball at a major league baseball game? I suppose that’s the reward or gift of being in the right place at the right time. There’s no better feeling than receiving a good reward for a job well done. The Bible teaches that the best gift or reward of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ. Hebrews 11:6 says, “Without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must [first] believe that He exists and [second] believe that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him.”

Teach your children that God is not only real, but that they can trust Him. Then teach them that He is a good and loving rewarder. It’s important that children understand that. He proved it best by sending His Son Jesus Christ to take away our sins. I hope you will teach your children that Jesus Christ is the greatest reward.

Have a great day!
